THE ELECTRONIC LAYER (fixed-media, "tape")

 

  • Please choose a version that will work best for your speaker system from the options below.
  • If you need assistance, please contact the composer (girlbot@ewatrebacz.com).

 

1) Ambisonic MASTER (B-format, FOA, FuMa, WXYZ)

 

  • This is the original "master" file. It can be used for rendering versions for custom speaker layouts.  Provided at 2 sample rates: 96 kHz and 48 kHz.

  • Please be aware that reproducing B-format sound files requires the use of an Ambisonic decoder. 
  • Recommended decoding software (FREE): The Ambisonic Toolkit (ATK)

 

2) DOUBLE HEXAGON - 12 channel version, 2 layers of speakers

  • Speakers should be arranged clockwise, in a double hexagon, 6 speakers in each layer, top layer directly above the bottom one.
  • Channels 1- 6 represent the bottom speaker array, starting from the front left speaker.
  • Channels 7-12 represent the upper array of speakers.

 

 

3) OCTAGON - 8 channel version, single layer of speakers

  • Speakers arranged in a regular octagon:

 

4) HEXAGON - 6 channel version, single layer of speakers

  • Speakers arranged in a regular hexagon:

 

5) Stereo UHJ - for rehearsals or streaming

  • This stereo version can be used for streaming purposes or for rehearsals.

 

THE SYNCHRONIZATION LAYER

 

  • Clicktrack for the conductor
  • MIDI file - use this MIDI file to recreate the tempo changes and measure structure for rehearsal purposes. 
    • Import the MIDI file into DAW software of your choice to recreate the measures and tempo changes.
    • Mute or delete the MIDI track after confirming that the measure structure has been properly re-created.
    • This will let you restart a playback of the electronic layer from any given measure during the rehearsals.
