Hey, meet my old hiking buddy.

My aunt Maria made this tiny rag doll for me when I was a little kid. She got fed up with me carrying a large doll while hiking with her, so she made me a more portable version. The doll has travelled the world with me. 

I am an avid fair weather hiker and a rock climber (the weekend warrior type, with a strong preference for sunny weather and dry rock).

One of my favorite hiking activities is napping on top of a mountain, with a spectacular view in the background.

I share this special interest with Mark - my absolutely most favorite person on this planet (hiding under his hat on the picture below, with Mount Shuksan in the background). On the right you will find some of  our favorite places on the surface of this planet.
