This violin-horn duo was originally composed and performed as a postlude to a theatrical play, commissioned by the University of Washington School of Drama.

It is based on short interactions between the musicians, in response to the Ambisonic sounds, and to each other. The instrumental parts were improvised during each of the performances, with the electroacoustic soundscape treated as kind of a scenario for their development.

With each concert performance, the piece slowly drifted away from its origin. To reflect that process, a new title - Iriviskia - was added. "Iriviskia" is a computer-generated word and it's up to the listener imagination to bring up their own associations.
