I wrote this song at age 19, and still admit to it. The original Song of Amergin is an ancient Celtic poem - a calendar-alphabet, preserved in various Irish and Wellsh versions (I used a popular English translation of that text).
I attempted to rewrite it later and make it into something more sophisticated and up-to-date (by adding some instrumental layers and making it sound uglier), but that was just against the very nature of this song, destroying its simplicity and somehow naive quality.
It is, what it is - a pretty little song for two female voices - so I am going to keep it this way.
