Well...
If I ever doubt that leaving Krakow (and Poland) after graduating from the Academy of Music was a REALLY good idea, I should look at that piece again. Sadly, this was my diploma work.
It is yet another example that traditional composition studies can provide a young composer with some music-engineering knowledge, that can be dangerously tempting. This kind of knowledge can distract one from actually taking real artistic risks and failures, providing a false sense of security.
This piece is the best example of that danger and at this point I can only hope it will be forgotten and never performed in public. Unless some crazy things are done to it... which may always *just* happen.
